About Me
Biography
Erin Willcox is a sophomore from Germantown, Maryland studying Animal Science at the University of Maryland. Her interests include cooking, animal care, and music, which has her focused on how people create their preferences of music and how it can be incorporated more into daily life to enrich and improve people’s mentality and mood. Her interest in enrichment also corresponds to her plans to enter the animal field, which will have opportunities to create and learn of new enrichment to provide to animals under human care. She believes that being a College Park Art Scholar will help her explore how she can use her creative skills and research to improve her understanding of the impact of art in people. She enjoys how art has become an outlet and channel for her mental and emotional state and hopes to meet more people in the program and teach her surrounding acquaintances the benefits of art. Her academic goal includes demonstrating her ability to understand and explain more complex scientific and anatomical theories giving her a better position to enter Veterinary School, after graduating.
